everything you need to know about brows

  • Cost: $400

A semi-permanent makeup procedure that lasts 1-3 years depending on your skin type. Microblading uses a very fine nano blade to deposit pigment into the superficial layer of the skin. This is a manual method for enhancing your eyebrows. Shading entails a machine using a needle or multiple needles in an up-and-down motion to create a shaded or powdery effect

The technique (hair strokes or hair strokes + shading) will be determined at the appointment based on each client’s eyebrows and what their goals are.

A touchup is mandatory 6 weeks after the initial appointment in order to bring pigment back up to 100% for maximum retention. This is included in the price of the initial appointment.

Touch-up must be completed 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment or you are subject to an additional fee.

A $100 booking fee is required upon booking. This fee will be used towards the total cost of the appointment. See “Salon Policies” for in depth cancellation policies.

FAQs

  • Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment that typically lasts 1-3 years depending on skin type and skincare routine. This procedure is done using a nano pen with ultra fine needles which is etched into the skin in order to mock natural hair strokes. This service is excellent for those who want to naturally enhance their natural brow, have thin or no eyebrows, thin brows from aging or over-tweezed eyebrows

  • This technique is a combination between microblading and machine-work to create a beautiful blend of hair-like strokes and shading. If you don’t have a lot of natural brow hair or have very coarse brow hair, it is recommended that you book combination brows to seamlessly blend the permanent makeup with your natural hair.

  • The appointment typically lasts about 2 hours including discussing the service, numbing, drawing on the eyebrows and the procedure itself.

A touchup is mandatory for maximum pigment retention 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment. Yearly touchups are recommended every 12-18 months. Brow touch-ups are to be completed no earlier than 6 weeks after your initial appointment and no more than 8 weeks after your initial appointment. If you do not complete your touch-up within 8 weeks, you are subject to an additional fee.

    • If you are pregnant or nursing

    • If you have an autoimmune disease

    • If you have had botox/injectables in your forehead area in the last 4 weeks

    • If you have precious brow tattooing that is very dark or highly saturated with pigment

    • If you are on blood thinners

    • If you are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy

    • If you have an existing skin condition on your eyebrows

    • If you have allergies to lidocaine, epinephrine, or metals

    • If you are under the age of 18

    • If you have keloids or hypertrophic scarring on your eyebrows

    • If you are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane in the last 12 months

  • The healing process differs from client to client. Whether it’s microblading or combination brows, you will experience a “dark phase” and a “light phase”.

Your brows will look darker and bolder the first day you get them done. They’ll be at their darkest days 1-4. They will continue to look dark for the next 5-7 days. This is completely normal.

You may experience patchiness around the 5-7 day mark as the “scabbing” begins to come off. Once this layer begins to come off, you’ll realize that the pigment underneath is very light. Don’t let it scare you. It can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks for this pigment to resurface entirely.

It will take about 10 days for your brows to look “normal” on the outermost layer of your skin however your brows will not technically be completely healed for about 4-6 weeks. This is why artists are unable to complete the touch-up until 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

  • I do everything that I can to ensure that the process is as comfortable as possible. You will be numbed with a topical anesthetic of 5% lidocaine prior to the procedure beginning. During the appointment, I will apply a liquid anesthetic to minimize any discomfort.

If you get microblading done during your menstrual cycle, you may find that the pain is intensified.
